video #P4A 2012 – Awesomenauts for Child’s Play

Hello everybody! It’s Icel and today is the Project for Awesome!

For those of you who are new to the YouTube scene, the project for awesome is an annual event in which all of YouTube gather together to support charitable organizations and decrease the overall suck levels in the world.

What do a gamer do when it’s time for Project for Awesome?  Play Awesomenauts, for even more epic awesomeness!

Let’s us get right down to business. This year I’m supporting the Child’s Play, a charity organized by the game industry to improve the lives of children with toys and games by working with over 70 hospitals all over the worlds.

For years, Child’s Play has been the quintessential  gamers’ charity. There has been dozens of gaming marathons dedicated to donating  for Child’s Play, and it is one of the most notable charities that game bundles, just as the Humble Bundle and Indie Royal, support – If you’re a gamer any bought a game bundle in the part couple of years, there’s a good chance you’ve donated money to  Child’s Play. Kudos to you!

I’ve a couple of friends that, half a year ago, organized an Earth Defense Force marathon and donated the proceeds to Child’s Play. They even organized rewards for people and held auctions for some very unique items.

Un fortunately, currently no hospital in Israel works with Child’s Play. While I support their work fullheartedly, I cannot benefit kids in my country directly through its work – a shame, really. I sincerely hope that Child’s Play activities will expand in the following years and we could help out even more children around the world.

I hope that you’ve enjoyed my videos and will consider pledging your donation for the Project for Awesome. Together, we can decrease world suck.
